1. Who is responsible for your data

Green Alliance Travel Costa Rica (American Apps Services S.A., Alajuela, El Roble, 650 mts sur del Abastecedor "El Pueblo".) is responsible for the personal data collected through book.green-alliancecr.com, https://go.green-alliancecr.com/ and our communications. Payments are processed by Auto Mall 360 LLC (Florida) (USA) through Stripe. Contact for privacy matters: [email protected].

2. What we collect

Reservation details: name, email, mobile number, country, driver age band, pick-up and drop-off locations and times, vehicle category, coverage and extras chosen, reservation reference.

Payment details: if you make a Reservation Payment, Stripe collects your card details directly. Green Alliance Travel Costa Rica never receives or stores card numbers; we receive the amount, the last four digits, the card brand and the payment status.

Technical details: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the time of your visit, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see section 7).

Communications: emails, SMS and WhatsApp messages you exchange with us, and notes our team adds to your reservation.

3. Why we use it

To make, confirm, change and cancel your reservation, and to arrange the vehicle with the Rental Partner (or with our own fleet).

To process and refund Reservation Payments.

To send you reservation and trip communications by email, SMS and WhatsApp (pick-up instructions, reminders, confirmations).

To answer your questions and provide support before, during and after your trip.

To measure and improve our website and marketing (analytics), and, with your consent where the law requires it, to send you offers from Green Alliance Travel Costa Rica.

To comply with legal, tax and accounting obligations and to prevent fraud.

4. Who we share it with

We share only what is needed with:

Rental Partners in Costa Rica: the driver's name, contact details, dates, locations, category and coverage, so they can prepare your vehicle. When you rent from our own fleet, this stays within Green Alliance Travel Costa Rica.

Stripe (payment processing), Cloudflare and Supabase (hosting and secure storage of reservations), Go High Level / LeadConnector (our customer relationship and messaging platform), Google (analytics and the spreadsheets that hold our rates) and our email/SMS delivery providers. These providers process data on our behalf under their own security commitments.

Authorities, when the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data.

5. International transfers

Green Alliance Travel Costa Rica operates from Costa Rica; our service providers store data in the United States and, in some cases, the European Union. When you use our services from outside these countries, your data is transferred to them. We rely on our providers' standard contractual safeguards for these transfers.

6. How long we keep it

Reservation and payment records are kept for 5 years after your rental to meet accounting, tax and dispute obligations. Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it. Technical logs are kept for 12 months.

7. Cookies and analytics

Our booking site uses strictly necessary cookies to run the reservation flow and protect it from abuse (Cloudflare Turnstile), and analytics cookies (Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager) to understand how the site is used. You can disable cookies in your browser; the reservation flow still works without analytics cookies.

8. SMS and messaging

By providing your mobile number and reserving, you agree to receive SMS and WhatsApp messages from Green Alliance Travel Costa Rica about your reservation and trip. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop receiving SMS at any time, or HELP for assistance. Mobile numbers and SMS consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing.

9. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, update or delete your personal data, to stop marketing communications, or to receive a copy of the data you gave us. Write to [email protected] with your reservation reference. We answer within 30 days. Residents of the European Union, the United Kingdom, California and other jurisdictions with specific privacy laws have the rights those laws grant them, including the right to complain to their local data-protection authority.

10. Security

Reservations are stored in encrypted databases with access restricted to our team; card data is handled exclusively by Stripe; our site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and we will notify you and the authorities as required if a breach affects your data.

11. Children

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the date at the top shows the latest version. Material changes are announced on our website or by email.
